What is the “World Heritage Committee” of UNESCO?

The “World Heritage Committee” of UNESCO is an inter-governmental organization with 21 member countries to take charge of the implement of “Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage”. It holds a meeting every year, mainly to determine which heritage could be included in the “World Heritage List”, also supervise and guide the protection work of the heritage on the list. The committee presidium is comprised by 7 members, the presidium holds meetings twice a year to arrange the committee tasks.
